LEED Water Efficiency Credits

CONSTRUCTION CATEGORY CREDITS
New Construction (NC) 10 Points
Prereq 1: Water use reduction—20% reduction required  
Credit 1.1: Water-efficient landscaping, reduce by 50% 2 points
Credit 1.2: Water-efficient landscaping, no potable use or no irrigation 2 points
Credit 2: Innovative wastewater technologies 2 points
Credit 3: Water use reduction 2–4 points
30% Reduction 2 points
35% Reduction 3 points
40% Reduction 4 points
Existing Building (EB) 10 Points
Prereq: Minimum indoor plumbing fixture and fitting efficiency - Required  
Credit 1.1: Water performance measurement, whole building metering 1 point
Credit 1.2: Water performance measurement, sub-metering 1 point
Credit 2: Additional indoor plumbing fixture and fitting efficiency 1–3 points
Credit 2.1: 10% Reduction 1 point
Credit 2.2: 20% Reduction 2 points
Credit 2.3: 30% Reduction 3 points
Credit 3: Water-efficient landscaping 1–3 points
Credit 3.1: 50% Reduction 1 point
Credit 3.2: 75% Reduction 2 points
Credit 3.3: 100% Reduction 3 points
Credit 4.1: Cooling tower water management, chemical management 1 point
Credit 4.2: Cooling tower water management, non-potable water source use 1 point
